Around the World | Singapore and Hong Kong

Mr Fogg's Society of Exploration

Covent Garden, London

Following in the footsteps of Phileas J. Fogg himself, our explorers ended their Indian adventure by moving further east to the tropical island of Singapore. After spending 14 days in India, the intrepid pair were immersed in a whole new world of sights, smells, sounds, food and culture.

Here, they enjoyed an abundance of greenery amidst the bustling city and spent their days indulging in the country’s delectable fodder, such as: pork rib soups, chilli crab and hearty local breakfasts from the best Hawker market in the city. The city’s famous ‘Gardens by the Bay’ provided a most stunning spectacle, with its breathtaking combination of nature, architecture and technology.

Moving onto their next stop, the explorers embarked upon their journey to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, the pair were told of a Tai Long Bay beach – the perfect camping spot located outside of central Hong Kong. Without further ado, they had set off in search of the mysterious location. Surrounded only by clear waters, moody skies and tropical forests, they set up a camping tent on the silent stretch of white sands.

After 24 hours of enjoying the star-lit night sky, open campfires and beautiful sunrise-treks, they had returned to the concrete jungle of Hong Kong, and just in time to watch the sun set over the incredible skyline. Next stop… Shanghai!
