Step into Mr Fogg’s Botanical Tavern in Fitzrovia, London, for a hands-on calligraphy workshop set within its immersive botanical-inspired setting, and discover the elegant art of traditional calligraphy, curious inks and Victorian correspondence. Over two hours, you’ll be guided step by step by Mrs Aouda Fogg through a series of short digital videos, as you learn the foundations of modern calligraphy and create three personalised cards or postcards to take home.
Begin with essential strokes, letters, numbers and flourishes before experimenting with a selection of coloured inks inspired by treasures gathered during Mr Fogg’s travels. Then put your new skills into practice, creating something wonderfully your own while enjoying a cocktail or mocktail from the famous Fogg’s Favourites menu.

Experiment with a selection of coloured inks, develop your lettering style and put your new skills to work on three personalised cards or postcards. Take your time choosing the words, names or messages you’d like to create, then add your own flourishes to make each piece distinctly yours.
At the end of the experience, take home your finished creations alongside your calligraphy pen, nib, black ink and practice materials, ready to continue the art of correspondence at home.
